Funny Bones: Performer Toolkit - Comedy Acting

Norwich’s new training ground for budding Comedy Actors, launching with masterclasses for 12-15s!

The young people will learn improv technique, character craft, joke construction and how to engage an audience. They will then devise their own sketches, drawing from their own lives, with premises spun into believably brilliant comedy – instilling strong foundations not just as performers but producers of original work. Complete confidence, lasting bonds, and assured laughs: the secrets of stage craft and showmanship honed.

This workshop introduces the fundamentals of comedy acting - presence, establishing a premise, timing, repetition, exaggeration, repetition(!) and heightening.

With the intention to establish a Company in school holidays beyond.

Instructed by acclaimed Norwich producer Tom Scudamore, of Camden Fringe sellout sketch group The Earlham Bus Incident. Other masterclasses available: 11.45am-1.15pm CREATING CHARACTER, and 1.45-3.15pm ART OF ABSURD.
