We’re hosting a little meetup event and drinks for a screening of Cara Holmes fantastic documentary Lesbian Lines at the QFT Belfast on Sunday 15th November at 2pm, film starts at 2:30pm.
The documentary follows the undercover network of support lines set up by the Lesbian Community within Ireland in the late 1970s.
The screening is being organised by Outburst Queer Arts Festival as part of their exciting programme of events and will be introduced by the artistic director of Outburst Ruth McCarthy, who was one of the original helpline volunteers and will be followed by a panel discussion on archiving queer histories.
We’ll then head to the Woodworkers Bar in Lavery’s where we’ll have a reserved area for some post-screening drinks and chats.
We anticipate many people will attend this event solo and it’ll be a great opportunity to catch the doc with others in the community!
Ticket includes a ticket to the screening plus access to a drinks social at Lavery’s after.
