On Tue, Oct 27, the CB 3 will cast decisive vote on a NYC Parks plan to tear down the basketball courts, the bars and the courtyard at Tompkins Square Park. The whole area would be off-limits for two years while they rebuild. We need you to be there, so the board votes NO on this plan, and supports repair instead of demolition.
Be there by 6:15pm at PS 20, 166 Essex Street. The meeting starts at 6:30pm sharp, and public comment comes first.
Or meet us by the bars in the park at 5:30pm and we will walk over together.
Bring a sign. Bring your friends, kids, spouses, neighbors, coworkers, roommates, bartender. Bring EVERYONE. A packed room shows the board how many of us care. Free and open to all.
