Pamplemousse Projects and Glass Rice present RECOLLECTION, an exhibition inspired by found vernacular photographs and the act of collecting them. Exploring themes of memory, family, identity, and personal history, the exhibition brings together found vintage photographic materials,
vernacular photographs, reimagined images from family archives, and contemporary analog photography directly inspired by vernacular source material.
This curated collection invites visitors to consider the history of photography as a whole: its role in the everyday life of the “amateur,” its use as a tool for creating “fine art,” and the places where those lines blur. The exhibition is presented in connection with the Summer 2026 issue of Pamplemousse Magazine.
COMMUNITY PHOTO WALL
One wall of the exhibition space is dedicated to the community. Visitors are invited to select a found photo from a box provided by the curator and add it to the gallery wall. As the exhibition is on view, the wall will fill up with vernacular photos curated by the public, creating a unique interactive installation driven by each person’s interest and personal connection to the found photos.
