Tatara-Style Mamezara (Small Plate) Pottery Experience (2 plates)

We are holding this workshop using the Tatara method with the hope that you can easily experience the joy of working with clay.

The Tatara method is a pottery technique where clay is flattened into uniform slabs (tatara),

which are then cut out or joined together to form shapes.

You will use the molds we have provided (each plate is approximately 9.3 cm in diameter).

We also have stamps available, so please enjoy decorating your plates however you like.

After crafting your pieces, you will choose a glaze color from our samples to complete the session.

・Date & Time: Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 10:00 - 11:00

(Approx. 1 hour per session)

・Participation Fee: 3,500 yen / person

・Application Deadline: Friday, November 6, 2026, by 17:00

・Capacity: 8 people

・What to Bring: An apron

Please come in clothes you don't mind getting dirty, just in case.

Parents and children are welcome to participate together! We look forward to having children join the experience.

・Collection: It will take about a month and a half for the pieces to be fired.

We will contact you once the firing is complete. Pick-up will take place at the To Building.

・Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted until 17:00 on the day before the event (Friday, Nov 6).

Please note that we cannot provide refunds under any circumstances for same-day cancellations or no-shows.

陶芸ワークショップ Vol.8

タタラづくりの豆皿陶芸体験（2枚）

まずは気軽に土に触れることから始めてもらいたいという想いから

タタラ製法でのワークショップを開催します。

タタラ製法とは粘土を均一な厚さの板状（タタラ）にし、それらを切り抜いたり貼り合わせたりして成形する技法です。

こちらでご用意した型をお使い頂きます。

（ひとつ大きさは 直径9.3cmほど）

スタンプを用意しておりますので

ご自由に装飾をお楽しみ下さい。

作陶後、色見本からお色を決めて頂き、終了となります。
