Your favourite illegimate cousin (FFIGS) is back with a bigger helping of their popular A Tactile & Gastronomical Encounter experience. This time, dynamic curation duo Deepag and Daryl are paying homage to Golden Mile's roots as a Thai enclave, with a curation of film-snack pairings inspired by spirit and place. SIDE A: KHIN KAO is an homage to Thai filmmakers, inspired by the now-vacated Golden Mile Complex next door.
Check out SIDE B: GOLDEN MILE here!

Programme
Lemongrass Girl (2021) by Pom Bunsermvicha 17’
Piano gets the job of keeping the set dry during the shoot for Anocha Suwichakornpong's latest film Come Here. Only she seems capable of warding off the rain.
Mangosteen (2023) by Tulapop Saenjaroen 40’
After returning to his hometown to work in his sister’s fruit processing factory, Earth slowly but surely pulls out of the family business to dedicate himself to writing an abstract, gory novel.
Fatboy Never Slim (2016) by Sorayos Prapapan 14’
Two fat Thai schoolboys don’t want to serve in the military when they turn 21. They’d prefer to take the territorial defence course instead. But if they want to get in, they will have to pass a physical test. This proves to be quite difficult, so the big boys discuss alternative options over a meal.
La Double Vie de Maniejan (2013) by Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke 30’
Four friends gather to eat, hang out, and talk about mangosteen, shamanism, and voiceover.
About FFIGS
FFIGS is a co-created space, led by a non-hierarchical collective of programmers, artists, and community-builders. Like the fig fruit—formed through the nutrients of a digested wasp—FFIGS is oppositional yet nourishing. Its goal is to resist institutional mediation and instead foster intimacy, collective study, and shared political imagination around cinema.
