🍔 TASTES OF AMERICA – 3D Food Printing – Technology and Innovation on the Plate 📅 Date: Monday, October 12th 🕕 Time: 6:00 PM 📍 Location: American Corner 🎤 Lecturer: Dr. Anđela Martinović We are opening the “Flavors of America” program with a session that presents American food culture from a contemporary and innovative perspective – through the fusion of technology, creativity, and gastronomy. The workshop, which will be held on Monday, October 12 , will be led by Dr. Anđela Martinović. Participants will have the opportunity to explore how innovations shape the way we produce, prepare, and experience food through 3D food printing. Dr. Anđela Martinović is a researcher with a PhD in Food Science, specializing in probiotics and digestive health. As one of the co-founders of epiSTEMe Hub, she currently contributes to the development of STEM fields in Montenegro through her work in research and innovation project management, focusing on food technology, health, and digital transformation. In this interactive workshop, participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at 3D food printing – from the basics of 3D modeling and the operating principles of 3D printers to the advantages, challenges, and possibilities this technology brings. We will uncover what is myth and what is reality, where the boundaries of today’s technology lie, and how 3D printing could shape the future of food. Through the American perspective of food-tech innovation, participants will learn about contemporary applications of 3D food printing and other technologies that are changing the way we produce and experience food. We will explore how American culinary tradition connects with innovation – from restaurants and personalized nutrition to the development of food for space missions, including NASA programs. And to ensure that “Flavors of America” is an experience for all the senses, we will “spice up” the theory with a tasting of 3D-printed cookies. acpodgorica tasteofamerica
