🎬 POLAND IN THE FRAME: ANDRZEJ WAJDA To mark the 10th anniversary of the passing of Andrzej Wajda , one of the most prominent directors in Polish and European cinema, the Montenegrin Kinoteka , in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Montenegro , presents the program “Poland in the Frame: Andrzej Wajda.” This event is dedicated to his exceptional filmmaking and legacy. 📅 Film Program (During October): Audiences will have the opportunity to watch three significant masterpieces from different periods of Wajda’s career: “The Promised Land” (“Obećana zemlja”) — 1974 “Katyń” (“Katinj”) — 2007 “Afterimage” (“Powidoki”) — 2016 📖 About the Director’s Work: His opus is characterized by a powerful artistic expression , historical and social themes, and a constant questioning of the individual’s relationship with the time they live in. For Andrzej Wajda, film was a space for moral questioning and resistance . Through it, he shaped the collective memory of Poland and spoke out about wartime traumas, repression, freedom, human dignity, and personal responsibility. 🎨 Additional Content: The film program will be accompanied by an exhibition that will further contextualize Wajda’s work and his significance in the history of Polish and European cinematography. 📍 Venue & Admission: Location: “Gojko Kastratović” Hall (Montenegrin Kinoteka) 🎫 Admission: Free for all screenings.
