Night Tales is intimate by design. We know that smaller rooms allow for more concentrated acoustic energy which makes you as a dancer feel ‘in the party’ not ‘watching the party’. Night Tales was created to spotlight musical storytellers who bring a unique perspective and understand setting, nuance, and flow. This is a 100% DIY event committed to good sound, thoughtful lighting, and connection within our queer dance community—yay—and disconnection from the material world—eww. Our musical collage spans dark, dreamlike, emotive, nocturnal, and natural-world narratives across the realms of house, acid, tribal, proggy house, trance, and techno.
