House music legend Ian Pooley comes to Dublin on Saturday of this October bank holiday weekend. A cornerstone of European house music since its earliest days, Pooley has spent decades shaping the underground with quiet authority. His records speak for themselves, from his Meridian and Since Then albums to remixes for Daft Punk and Jovonn, and a catalogue built almost entirely on his own Pooledmusic label. To hear him play is always a thrill. Support comes from OneCanChan, a Dublin DJ with Chinese roots whose sets move fluidly across prog, Chicago house, acid, breaks and global sounds. Co-founder of Dublin based FLINTA collective Shimmer and a genuine advocate for grassroots club culture in Ireland, they are a natural fit for this one.
