Esengo / JABY / Sterchi

This evening, curated by Nest, puts the spotlight on the beats and genres of African descendance. Rhythms and beats that go well together, shape the night and will leave you happy.

Esengo is a Swiss-based DJ and sound artist working across bass-driven club and Black electronic music. Rooted in diasporic and percussive sound traditions, his sets channel high-energy, rhythm-focused sounds shaped by kuduro, jersey club and contemporary club music.

JABY is a Basel-based DJ and sound artist, who performs a wide variety of Afrocentric music genres. From Gqom beats and Amapiano to Singeli from Dar es Salaam, Afro-Caribbean sounds such as Shatta or Bouyon, she plays a selection of her favourite bass-heavy, groovy beats of African descent.

Sterchi will play a mix of bass-heavy gqom, mara beats and dancehall
