HANA 001

HANA 001 · The First Bloom
音が華開く場所。 Where sound blooms.

華 HANA is a new London-based electronic music series celebrating the beauty of sound, movement and self-expression. Rooted in Japanese aesthetics and London’s rave culture, HANA puts Asian and FLINTA artists at the forefront, creating dancefloors where grace meets intensity.

For its debut edition, HANA takes over Not For Sale Gallery in Hackney Wick for six hours of electronic sound.

The night opens with breakbeat and hard dance, then unfolds into hypnotic rhythms and driving techno, builds to peak-time acid and descends into a deep, hypnotic close. Each set flows into the next as one continuous journey.

The name comes from 華, the Japanese character for brilliance and flourishing. HANA celebrates individuality on the dancefloor and off it.

A SPACE FOR EVERYONE
HANA is committed to a welcoming, inclusive and respectful dancefloor. We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination or unwanted physical contact. Respect one another’s boundaries, ask before touching or filming, and look out for those around you.
