Never defined by genre. Never confined by borders. A Fulani nomad by blood, Afropean by nature — Mariama is what happens when Freetown, Berlin, the Fouta Djallon, Cologne, Paris, alongside Czech and Norwegian ancestry stop being separate places and become one voice.
Her sonic world pulls folk, soul, pop, and beat production into conversation with West African rhythms and instrumentation.
