★ Born in Uruguay, based in Berlin, Nicolas Lutz has spent two decades digging up records almost no one still played. He brings them back on vinyl, in an order nobody sees coming: that habit of swerving just as you thought you had it figured out is what built his name, from Club der Visionaere to London's Toi Toi Musik. He releases through his own label, My Own Jupiter. A Lutz set isn't listened to in tracks, it's taken whole.

★ Sedef Adasï started by solving a problem: her hometown Augsburg didn't have the parties she was looking for, so she made them. HAMAM Nights came out of that, along with a way of holding hospitality and rigour together, and a guest list that has included DJ Stingray and Tama Sumo. A resident at Munich's Blitz and, since 2022, at Panorama Bar, she has kept the same thing at the centre of her playing: a direct read of the room, with euphoria and force arriving without warning.

★ An intimate DJ for several years now, Mel plays minimalist music with a rhythm she has mastered. Her aim is always to deliver a set featuring a variety of styles, ranging from minimal to progressive trance, tailored to the moment and the venue to get the crowd moving.
