Saturday, November 7 brings another Free Saturday to Left Bank, with Space One keeping its regular Selector Picks. Mark Reeder’s selection draws on his long connection to Berlin’s underground. Arriving in West Berlin in 1978 in search of Krautrock, he later became Joy Division’s German representative and Factory Records’ man in the city, before founding MFS, a label central to trance’s early history. Outdoors, Berlin-based Agua con gas brings a 90s perspective to the floor, drawing on progressive house while letting tribal rhythms meet the influence of US house and electro. Tbilisi’s Ketato M approaches techno through groove and emotion, while Gio Shengelia brings decades of experience in Georgia’s electronic music scene, dating back to the early 2000s.
