Others the the Baile

On 24 October, Others to the Front takes over Crack Bellmer for a night built around music, movement and the communities that have shaped queer club culture. We’re starting the evening with The Better Move, a project connecting dance communities and nightlife in Amsterdam and Berlin. Together, we’re bringing two dance forms with deep roots in queer and BIPOC club cultures into the space before the party begins. 20:00–21:00 — House Dance Workshop with Cristina Buenaflor 21:00–22:00 — Whacking Workshop with Thomasito Two hours to learn, move, sweat and connect — whether you dance regularly or have never taken a workshop before. Then the dancefloor opens. Coming all the way from New York City, Kandylion joins materia hache, Robin Flux, Sky Deep and VRTL for a night moving between house, disco and everything that makes a good club night impossible to stand still through. We want to make space for the dance itself: the people who create it, the cultures it comes from, and the energy that happens when a room starts moving together.
