This Saturday, Line of Sight presents the Chengdu stop of Puerto Rican musician Pachyman’s first China tour, inviting you to immerse yourself in the psychedelic echoes of Jamaican Dub and Reggae traditions.

Pachyman, born Pachy García, is a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Puerto Rico, now based in Los Angeles. Deeply influenced by the Dub and Reggae sounds of 1970s Jamaica, he draws inspiration from legendary producers such as King Tubby and Scientist. Working with bass, drums, synthesizers, and signature tape echo and reverb effects, Pachyman blends the vintage sonic aesthetics of Jamaican music with his own distinctive approach. The result is a warm, laid-back, and spacious sound world where layered rhythms and cascading echoes reveal the hypnotic grooves and distinctive textures of Dub.
