MOOR MOTHER - FETISH BONES 10TH ANNIVERSARY
First released September 16, 2016, Fetish Bones was the debut album of Philadelphia based musician, artist, and activist Camae Ayewa, performing as Moor Mother. Recorded in her home studio using a collection of machines, field recordings, and analog noisemakers, the album's 13 tracks fused the visceral anger of punk with the expansive improvisatory spirit of Sun Ra, arriving not as a way to forget but as a demand to remember.
The record was named an Album of the Year by The Wire and Jazz Right Now, and landed on Pitchfork's Best Experimental LPs of 2016, Rolling Stone's Best Avant Albums of 2016, and Thump's 25 Best Experimental Albums of 2016. "Deadbeat Protest" made both Pitchfork's and Noisey's Best Songs of 2016 lists, and Bandcamp named Ayewa its 2016 Artist of the Year while including Fetish Bones among its 100 Best Records of 2016.
Ten years later, Don Giovanni Records celebrates that debut with a 10th anniversary edition, pressed with a foil album cover and featuring the previously unreleased bonus track "Marian Anderson," a collaboration with Wolf Weston and Wooden Elephant. In the years since Fetish Bones, Ayewa has become one of experimental music's most celebrated and prolific voices.

NEXUS - debut EP RELIKIA
Within just over a year and a half after their inception, NEXUS have been igniting crowds everywhere they play. From underground clubs to large-scale festivals such as Berlin Atonal, Unsound, Primavera and Lunchmeat, NEXUS turn an assembly of tastemakers and open-minded audiences alike into a mosh pit— then elevate them into a spiritual experience.
NEXUS is a duo project between B4mba and Mooki6, both exceptional artists in their own right, having been active on multiple fronts including DJing, producing, sound designing, singing, rapping, screaming, performing and creating visual arts. They are both members of a multi-disciplinary, Pan-African artist collective, Jokkoo, one of the most exciting and progressive collectives around hailing from Barcelona. While the members consistently collaborate with each other within the group and beyond, NEXUS notably stood out as they entered the scene in 2025 as a response to our time - the time when we're gripped by the sense that the whole world is collapsing, and plunging backwards into the dystopia of extreme violence and destruction driven by unhinged human greed. These two multi-talented artists, who have been honing their skills through many years of on-the-ground practice, emerged masterfully capturing the exact anger, the frustration and the longing for human connection we all found ourselves holding. NEXUS manage to deliver it all in the form of music, in style with urgency and explosive energy.
RELIKIA is their anticipated debut EP, consisting of four original songs. “RELIKIA”, “KURSE” and “LINK” are already rock-solid NEXUS classics, tested repeatedly in their live sets. “NEEDLES INDA NECK” is a fresh track that adds another dimension to the NEXUS repertoire. After they independently released their defining first single "European Horror Movie (E.H.M.)" via Jokkoo Bandcamp (almost exactly a year ago) followed by three track contributions to compilations from Paris' Boukan Records, Bristol's Avon Terror Corps and Porto's XXIII, "Wet Flowers", "Cage" and "N8" respectively, they are more than ready to present their first EP.
B4mba and Mooki6 remarkably produce all their tracks on their own, write and perform lyrics in multiple languages (English, French, Spanish, Wolof, Guadeloupean Creole and Catalan) they acquired growing up and living in diaspora. NEXUS draw cultural and sonic inspirations from their ancestral heritage, fusing it with an incredibly wide palette of musical styles— from metal and punk to dubstep and trap— as well as some of the most experimental electronic club sounds informed by many years of playing as well as organising parties. The result is the hybridity that truly embodies who they are - raw but simultaneously sophisticated, and most importantly, real.
NEXUS themselves are a journey from the past to the future. Their vision of Pan-Afrofuturism illuminates our way in these uncertain times, calls us to hold our ground, stand tall, and resist. RELIKIA EP soundtracks the beginning of this journey.
