ruffles launch - hayag dub house at Corner 316

'hayag' means 'illuminate' or 'make it known' in tagalog and visaya dialects

'hayag dub house' is a maxi single from meanjin/naarm [ brisbane/melbourne ] music maker ruffles, inspired by the community house in siargao in the phillipines and featuring a remix from filipino dub music royalty.

launching at sister venue @corner316 on November 21st, 2026.

ex-malaysia naarm mainstay dj @sharanyaaveiro is known for balancing groove with spaciousness across hyper-detailed mind-soothing percussive beats, bringing subtle propulsion and the calm focus of a seasoned traveler

@yagirlnatasha is an experimental electronic producer, DJ, and abstract artist from meanjin/brisbane fusing ambient, plunderphonics, and post-punk influences.. now relocated to naarm/melbourne to study musicology and will be making her local live debut at Corner 316.

dan west [ @tweakandtwang ] is kinda everywhere rn, between co-running Buttons beat-maker night, touring with his funk band or colabs with japanese experimental artists.. for hayag dub house he’s bringing a new uk-bass-coloured leftfield-garage live set.. maybe..

@blendcorp aka dj campbell is a longstanding club dj, event promoter, a decades-long veteran broadcaster on central community radio platform pbs.. his latest venture in community music building is @corner316 itself so we’re honoured to have him bless the decks on the night too, fresh from several months on the international circuit

@ok.ruffles is a live electronic music maker with dub is his veins and too many drum machines.. for this event he’ll be creating a live dub sound system and running a sub-bass meditation with elements created by collaborators from an emerging writers’ fest project earlier in the year.. usbs for sale on the night
