As night falls, Athinas Street turns into a disco. On Saturday, 19 September, from 20:00, one of Athens’ most iconic commercial streets goes car-free and comes alive with music, lights and dancing at the Disco Street Party. Part of the This is Athens City Festival and World Car-Free Day, the celebration brings disco rhythms to the heart of the city, inviting Athenians and visitors to take over the street, dance beneath the Athenian night sky, and experience Athens from a whole new perspective. It’s the musical opening to 24 hours dedicated to sustainable mobility, a celebration of a city that is free, vibrant, accessible, and made for people.
