Ồn Ào Vol.2 presents John Talabot (Hivern Discs/ ES)

John Talabot, the Barcelona-born artist and pioneer of electronic music, chooses to define himself through the sounds coming from the speakers rather than through words. Like a diarist or a photographer, he captures fragments of life through the music he creates, with an almost obsessive passion: “Everything I do revolves around capturing something.” — John Talabot

His reputation began to take shape with his stunning debut album, ƒIN — an inspiring and euphoric piece of contemporary electronic music, woven from his own memories. It was named among the best albums of 2012 by influential publications such as Pitchfork and Resident Advisor. His fascination with deep, textured soundscapes, unconventional melodies, powerful basslines, and organic percussion runs throughout his “sonic diary”; whatever form his work takes, Talabot’s distinctive signature remains instantly recognisable.

On stage, his energetic DJ performances, rich in both emotion and sonic depth, have further established his position on the global festival circuit. He is widely praised for his exceptional ability to build tension, navigate a dancefloor, and deliver powerful emotional peaks.

And soon, John Talabot will bring his sonic diary to Ồn Ào.
