An evening where standing still is not an option and you lose yourself in a feeling of freedom. Social Dance Club Night is a club night with dance at its heart. Leroy Rey’s finest disco, funky and house selections, paired with Miss Sunshine’s uplifting words, will take you on an extraordinary clubbing experience.

Social Dance Club is a dance community from Utrecht that celebrates embracing your unique essence. A community united by a shared love of music and dance, with a special focus on whacking: a dance style performed to disco music that originated in the underground Black and Latino queer club scene of 1970s Los Angeles.

The night kicks off with the Social Dance Experience, a separate programme you can sign up for. Guided by Miss Sunshine and Leroy Rey, you’ll spend an hour immersing yourself in the world of social dance. Together, we’ll create an atmosphere of connection, letting go and an ultimate sense of freedom through dance. The Social Dance Experience is open to anyone who loves dancing and wants to share that love with others. There’s room for 60 participants, so be sure to sign up in time.

Please arrive by 23:00. The experience starts at 23:15.

After setting the tone during the Social Dance Experience, the club night begins, carrying that sense of freedom and energy into the rest of the night. Expect a mesmerising dance performance by the Rays of Sunshine and let yourself be carried away by Leroy Rey’s selections.
