DoitJAZZ! 20th Anniversary meets Mendel

Since 2006, DoitJAZZ! has explored dance music across genres and generations, with jazz at its core. Continuing our 20th anniversary celebrations, we welcome Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Mendel to Kyoto this November.
Rooted in hip-hop, Mendel moves freely from soulful boogie and disco to deep house and electro. Through his own party, Ciranda, he has cultivated warm dancefloors driven by a deep love for music.
Beyond moments of euphoria, Mendel values the emotions within the groove and the connections music creates—a philosophy that resonates with DoitJAZZ!'s 20-year journey. From boogie, disco, and soul to house and Afro grooves, a special anniversary session where Amsterdam and Kyoto come together.

2006年に京都で始動し、JAZZを軸にジャンルや時代を越えたダンスミュージックを探求してきたDoitJAZZ!。20周年企画を重ねてきた今年11月、アムステルダムからDJ／プロデューサーのMendelを迎える。
ヒップホップをルーツに、ソウルフルなブギーやディスコからディープハウス、エレクトロまで自在に紡ぐMendel。自身が主宰する「Ciranda」では、音楽への深い愛情とともに温かなダンスフロアを育んできた。
単なる高揚感だけでなく、グルーヴの奥にある感情や音楽を通じたつながりを大切にするMendel。その姿勢はDoitJAZZ!の20年間とも共鳴する。ブギー、ディスコ、ソウルを中心に、ハウスやアフロへと広がる多彩なグルーヴ。アムステルダムと京都の感性が交差する20周年のスペシャルセッション。
