As part of Resident Advisor’s 25th birthday celebrations, RA is hosting a free panel on community building in Dublin nightlife at Flux Studios, bringing together people helping shape the city’s electronic music landscape.
Back in 2001, Resident Advisor launched in a living room in Sydney. Now, 25 years later, we’re celebrating with a tour of free-to-attend RA Community events across five continents.
Between September and December, we’ll be touching down with workshops, talks and fundraisers in New York, CDMX, Dublin, Kampala, Paris, Berlin, LA, Eora (Sydney) and Rio de Janeiro, alongside continued community partnerships with Underground Music Academy in Detroit and Cape Town’s Bridges for Music.
The RA25 community event series joins a wider programme of anniversary activity spanning a world club tour, a book, merchandise and an archival project.
Time: 6:30 PM–8:30 PM.
Doors at 6:30pm
Panel commences 7:00pm.
What is it?
Taking place at Flux Studios, the evening will focus on Dublin’s grassroots club communities, exploring community building, access and representation, and the challenges of keeping these spaces going. The conversation will feature Jowy Ahia, founder of local platform Foxgluv, and Tadhg Kinsella, founder and director of the non-profit Dublin Modular, with moderation from DJ & Producer Roo Honeychild
Who is it for?
This event is for promoters, organisers, artists, venue teams and community figures working across Dublin’s nightlife and electronic music scenes, as well as anyone interested in creating more inclusive and sustainable cultural spaces.
Accessibility info:
Flux Studios has a step-free, wheelchair-accessible raised viewing platform to the left of the main entrance, offering a view of the event, as well as an accessible bathroom. The main gallery floor, however, is reached via five steps and is not wheelchair accessible. If you require specific assistance, reach out to [email protected].
