Crushed Now—After Turning // Beyond Presence

"Crushed Now—After Turing // Beyond Presence" is a five-evening concert series that explores hybrid, relational spaces at the intersection of instruments, technology, and spatial design. Rooted in the perspective of this "hybrid spatiology," the series re-imagines instrumentality as an aesthetic, perceptual, and social practice of listening, ultimately reconfiguring traditional concert setups into collective, relational modes of listening. Artists ranging from contemporary music, electro-acoustic composition, analogue synths, and live-coding perform in different constellations in which human and artificial actors become equal partners; gesture is continuously negotiated as a dynamically produced (im)balance between human and machine; creative decisions are distributed across both human and artificial actors, constantly renegotiating how sound is heard, shared, and interpreted. Human-machine exchange becomes a reciprocal, co-creative process that reshapes not only the concept of instrumentality, but also the socio-cultural architecture of performance that unfolds as a compositional social practice.
