It has since evolved into a cultural hub, party and record label. Known for its unparalleled curation and dedicated to representing the vastness of Southern Africa, with a combined effort of music and storytelling. Always on the cusp, booking DJs like Dlala Thukzin & DJ Le Soul for their European debuts, with iconic shows at venues like London’s Village Underground. Abantu, which translates to “people” in several Nguni languages, is coined after a heartfelt investment in a people-first ethos. Abantu is cultivating an international community whilst building an archival legacy. Insistent on boundary pushing artistry, presented with a high level of care and quality.
