REMEDIO

These last two years have been really dope! So much fun dancing with you all and watching our community always be so receptive to new sounds. That’s why we have TWO surprises for this edition: Remedio’s first international artist and a SECRET LOCATION party!

Hailing from Mexico City, Astroboii is a DJ and producer working across music, design and production. Collaborating with MUTEK MX and Wavavava, and as a resident of Ssensorial and partner of Saundo Studio, he’s shared lineups with artists like Darwin, Introspeckt, upsammy and Batu. Making his Ottawa debut, he’ll bring his deep rhythms alongside some of our favourite local artists.

SPEXIALKXY makes her Remedio debut! A multidisciplinary artist and founder of Bad Gyal Anthems, she creates space for Ottawa’s Black queer femmes to celebrate Caribbean music and dancehall culture. Her dynamic sets embrace booty-shaking, spontaneity and bass culture.

The one and only So Durand also makes his Remedio debut! Founder of Pull Up Ottawa and a pillar of Ottawa’s underground scene, he brings over 10 years of DJ experience, with sounds ranging from downtempo and dubstep to heavy 4x4 rhythms.

Holding it down are our two Remedio residents, Bleu Pâle and And.re, bringing their deconstructed sounds to keep your mind in a trance from beginning to end.
