Justyna Steczkowska - Maria Magdalena. All Is One

Maria Magdalena unfolds as an immersive live work at the intersection of concert, ritual and expanded audiovisual performance. Staged beneath the Planetarium dome, the project brings together music, light and cosmic-scale visual environments to create a space of introspection, suspension and emotional return. At its centre is Justyna Steczkowska — singer, composer and performer, known internationally as Poland’s two-time Eurovision representative, first in 1995 and again in 2025, and widely recognised in Poland for her work as a coach on The Voice of Poland. Across more than three decades of artistic activity, Steczkowska has developed a singular performance language in which voice, image and spirituality exist in continuous dialogue. The live realisation of Maria Magdalena. All Is One also features Jakub René Kosik — co-composer and producer of the material and album — whose practice emerges from the Polish techno and electronic scene, where he has remained active since 1997. A prolific producer, live act and DJ with a career spanning nearly three decades, Kosik brings a structural and sonic depth that bridges club culture, cinematic composition and contemporary electronic form. Performed with a string quartet and invited collaborators, the work moves between contemporary composition, electronic production and devotional atmosphere. Rather than following the logic of a conventional pop concert, Maria Magdalena proposes a deeply sensorial environment in which sound becomes spatial, silence becomes expressive, and the stage itself becomes a site of reflection, transformation and shared presence.
