DJ Orion: Homecoming Helsinki
After two advance sold-out Tampere Homecoming events, Orion arrives at Helsinki's Ääniwalli to celebrate his final year on the radio. Taking place on October 9th, the night will be a full-scale, two-stage experience bringing together the most iconic Friday night artists and the community. The epic evening kicks off with a three-hour Friday night show performed in front of a live audience for the very last time, which will be recorded for posterity. The show will feature the familiar "democracy tracks" (demokratiaraidat), XmiXes, and other beloved elements of Friday nights – now heavily interactive with the audience. The Ääniwalli venue allows you to watch the show right next to the DJ. A limited number of Full Friday Night Experience tickets are available. After the early evening show, the event will expand across two stages throughout Ääniwalli, continuing in the spirit of Friday nights as a community get-together, bringing together DJs, listeners, and key figures from across the entire 19-year radio journey. Juska Wendland, aka DJ Orion, has played his way into the hearts of the nation as the host of electronic music shows known for their strong sense of community on YleX. He has hosted Finland's most-listened-to club and dance music radio shows for nearly twenty years. In addition, Orion is recognized as an artist releasing his own music through international record labels, the founder of the Absence of Facts label, a promoter who has strongly championed the culture, and, above all, a performer.
