Tengu presents: Haseeb Iqbal, T-Woc & Hewan

We’re delighted to welcome one of London’s most respected selectors, broadcasters and storytellers - Haseeb Iqbal to Tengu this October 17th. Haseeb Iqbal has built a cult following eclectic DJ sets and his celebrated residency at Studio Crumb. Blending sounds, stories and musical traditions from across the globe, in which he has also become celebrated for his through his deeply researched radio documentaries. Alongside his other past residencies at Tate Modern and 180 Studios, where he has explored everything from Blue Note Records to Pakistani cinema soundtracks and Jah Shaka, Haseeb continues to redefine and explore the relationship between the dancefloor and cultures. Joining him are two selectors we have two selectors perfect for the open. Dublin's T-Woc is a revered record collector and producer and member of TnT Records, known for weaving dub, reggae, global rhythms and psychedelic sounds into his productions and sets. Ethiopian born and Dublin based Hewan brings her deep love of African music to the booth, drawing from Ethiopian jazz, afrobeat, highlife, reggae and dub through an exceptional all-vinyl collection that has taken her from Dublin's venues to the Addis Ababa Jazz Festival.
