On 16 October, join us for the launch of Rostarr’s largest work to date and a party that will fill the Desa from afternoon to early morning. Evolving Landscapes will transform 1,644 m² of the Beach Club façade into a monumental backdrop for an open-air dance party beside the Indian Ocean.
From 3pm, Suze Ijó, Alex From Tokyo, Eric Duncan, Ryosuke Fukunaga, Yuka Mizuhara and Archie will bring the dancefloor together beneath the mural, playing from Rostarr’s hand-painted DJ booth. Their sets will carry us through the afternoon as Rostarr joins Dan Mitchell for Desa Dialogues. At sunset, Bumi Bajra and Putu Septa will mark the opening with a performance in front of the façade.
Between sets, explore the designs and records joining the celebration. nonnative will bring a limited apparel capsule and on-site pop-up, alongside outdoor furniture from Helinox, incense from Kuumba, incense holders from Space Available and custom textiles from Patience. Millers Records will bring a vinyl selection to browse before heading back to the dancefloor.
As the sky darkens, projection mapping will set Rostarr’s mural in motion above the open-air dancefloor. The Beach Club will keep dancing until midnight, while Klymax opens at 10pm with Timothy Really Lab., Benedek and Gero. Follow the music inside and stay with us all night long.
