On Wednesday evening, September 16, one of the longest-standing and most influential figures of Hungary’s underground electronic music and vinyl culture, Ákos Mesterházy, is coming to Viadukt Bár! Mesterházy He has been collecting records and spinning vinyl for more than 30 years. He is the co-founder of the legendary Veszprém-rooted Syrup collective and record label, as well as the initiator of the Hungarian Save The Vinyl movement. A true vinyl devotee, his collection of more than 3,000 records ranges from Swiss and Dutch acid/hardcore gems imported in the ’90s to some of the finest electronic cuts. His sets can move anywhere from smooth house and hot disco through acid to deeper, more driving underground sounds.
