The 2026 edition of Plain District—themed "Future Finity”—continues to experiment with forms and formats, offering its audience an immersive space for engaging electronic music experiences.

A high-contrast, genre-bending lineup at Groundless Factory is staging a threefold-curated musical program featuring live and DJ performances by eight artists from Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Leipzig, and Berlin.

Spanning three main curatorial segments, Atmospheric Textures, Oscillating Textures, and Tangible Textures, the night gradually reveals a vast sonic palette, moving from cinematic and abstract soundscapes to club-scapes.

The night is highlighted by the China debut of special guest and headlining German artist/producer SLANY.

Future Finity could easily be mistaken for a dystopian ode to the end of the future — instead, it offers models for thought and creative practice that give voice to the future.

Future Finity uncovers an innovative field for free performative expression and reclaims spaces of self-determined experience and interaction.

Future Finity forms a temporary architecture of encounter and envisions bold, forward-oriented scenarios from an artistic and culture-shaping perspective.
