Athens of the North, the influential Edinburgh-based label, is renowned for championing obscure and lost funk, soul, deep disco, left-field house, and electronic music. With a hardcore collector and music-lover following, the label gets a lot of respect from all corners of the DJ and collector scenes across the globe.
Euan and Lel , Athens of the North Disco Club DJ Crew bring a wide-ranging, highly considered sound, rooted in dance-floor instincts built over years behind the decks at the always roadblocked Edinburgh intuition Athens of the North Disco Club. Their sets draw from disco, house, boogie, jazz, soul, techno and electronic oddities — reflecting Athens of the North’s ethos: Interesting music with soul, that works on the dance floor.
