Elephant Stone and Sacred Buzz are teaming up at Neue Zukunft for an exclusive double album release show.

At the center of Montreal’s Elephant Stone is Rishi Dhir, a songwriter and sitarist who has spent twenty years blurring the lines between Western psych-pop and Indian classical traditions. Operating out of his home studio, Dhir has emerged as a true studio auteur—producing, engineering, and mixing the band’s increasingly complex and cinematic output. While built on airtight pop craftsmanship, their recent work—anchored by Miles Dupire, Robbie MacArthur, and Jason Kent—possesses a new, raw intensity forged through collaborations with icons like The Black Angels, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and Beck. With 10 acclaimed releases, Elephant Stone remains at the forefront of the modern psych movement.

Berlin’s own psychedelic outfit Sacred Buzz will present their debut self-titled album, out October 9 on Sound Effect Records. Showcasing a turn to a more expansive sound, the band will unleash the full force of their fuzz-drenched, groove-locked dimensions. The LP explores the nature of reality through sci-fi and philosophical ideas, woven together with cinematic twists and vivid imagery. Surreal lyrics emerge from an echoing voice, while a locked-in krautrock groove anchors your body to the earth. Raw, reverberating guitars and droning organ textures complete their rich sonic palette.
