CJP Band

The CJP Band is the brainchild of songwriter, bassist and producer Chris Pedley. The sound is crafted by heavyweight musicians, all residing in the New Forest area. Their shared chemistry shapes the band’s expansive sound, creating unique, raw disco, funk and soul. They relish recording together in a room to vintage tape machines, through valve preamps, handmade plate reverbs and an echo chamber. Their music is tactile and human and this all translates into their electrifying live show! The band’s 3 x 12” disco releases have been on heavy rotation with global tastemakers such as Gilles Peterson and Mr Scruff! The 18th Septembers welcomes the release of release disc no.4 – so get ready for exclusive access to the brand new wax! Expect driving dancefloor burners, powered by heavyweight drums, deep fender precision basslines, flamboyant Brazilian percussion and crazy guitar and rip-roaring sax solos.
