Puppy Teeth, Rollups, junk and damselfly

The talent rising through Scotland gets a chance to shine as Puppy Teeth embark on their UK EP release tour, showcasing why they are ones to watch, all while championing the sickest upcoming talents at the same time, on an all-female-fronted lineup!

༺☆༻

Puppy Teeth | Edinburgh-based bubblegrunge quintet stop at The Castle Hotel as part of their 'Teething' EP Release tour, for their first Manchester headline. Bringing their hypnotic blend of crunchy guitars and female-led, poppy vocals to create an all-encompassing haze of dreamy 90s melodic shoegaze that sedates you while simultaneously leaving you breathless as you tread through a swamp of soft grunge and texture in an experience that you do not want to miss!

FFO: Mary In the Junkyard, Mazzy Star & Sorry

Rollups | Manchester-based quartet that cannot be pinned to one genre and don't deserve to be, as they so effortlessly flow between elements of folk, dream pop, 90s grunge and shoegaze to traverse further into the atmospheric worlds built up by their endearing songwriting and arrangements as they continue doing it their own way, leaving you never really knowing what you are about to witness, in the best way! and with them returning after a hiatus, all is up for speculation as they transition you from the lovely Junk to the swamp-filled trenches of atmosphere and haze right in time for Puppy Teeth!

junk | Sheffield's "shoegaze sweethearts" are taking the trip over from the steel city where they have quickly become one of its must-see acts, blending jangly guitars and vocal harmonies layered with a thick and textured reverb alongside guttingly raw melodies and haunting vocals as the quartet create their own blend of nu-gaze, in a perfect continuation from the dreamy noise of openers 'Damselfly'.

damselfly | Formerly known as 'Chokers', the three-piece has grown wings and developed into something that fits the dreamy, more alternative, and shoegaze sound that they've been building across the city for the last couple of years, relying on driving rhythms and hazy, melodic textures, all backed up by stunning visuals to create an atmosphere so layered and beautiful in a life-altering live experience that has made them both one of my own, but also the city's favourite bands to champion and witness.
