About To Kill a Mockingbird To Kill a Mockingbird is Aaron Sorkin’s stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s novel, returning to the West End for a strictly limited summer season. Set in 1934 Alabama, it follows lawyer Atticus Finch as he tries to uncover the truth in a town determined to hide it. Inspired by Harper Lee’s own childhood, the novel has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide and won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature. It was also long at the top of the banned book lists. The production has played in the West End and on Broadway, and is currently on a sell-out national tour across the UK and Ireland. Running time: Approximately 2 hours 50 minutes, including an interval. Before you book Arrival: Please arrive early to clear security. Evening performances start promptly at 7pm, with matinees at 2pm. Accessibility: An Audio Described performance is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday 1 August 2026.
