About The Producers The Producers at the Garrick Theatre is the first major London revival of Mel Brooks’ musical adaptation of The Producers, transferring to the West End after a sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Based on the classic cult film, the original Broadway production won a record twelve Tony Awards. The show follows down-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock and timid accountant Leo Bloom as they scheme to create the biggest flop in theatre history, only for the plan to backfire. The West End production brings back Marc Antolin, Trevor Ashley, Raj Ghatak, Andy Nyman, Harry Morrison and Joanna Woodward. Key facts: Opens on 15 September, with previews from 30 August. Richard Kind’s final performance at the Garrick Theatre will be on 6 May 2026. Before you book Age guidance is 13+. The production includes scenes of a sexual nature, references to Adolf Hitler and Nazis, strobe effects and loud sound effects including gunshots.
