About Hay Fever Hay Fever is Noël Coward’s comedy, with Christine Baranski making her West End debut as Judith Bliss alongside Richard E. Grant in a new production directed by Emily Burns.
The play follows Judith, who has retired from life on stage but still misses the applause. At the family’s country home, she lives with her husband David, a hermetic novelist, and their children Sorrel and Simon, whose lack of focus makes them poor audience members for Judith’s theatrical instincts.
When Judith invites a young fan to stay for the weekend, each member of the Bliss family has also arranged a guest of their own. The result is a house full of mismatched visitors, parlour games, put-downs and unrequested encores as the weekend descends into chaos.
Running time: 2 hours including the interval.
Before you book Latecomers will not be admitted. Please note that trailer filming will take place at the performance on 27 October. The performances on 16 November and 19 November will be filmed. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
Current cast Christine Baranski appears as Judith Bliss, with Richard E. Grant also starring in the production.
