About Into The Woods Into The Woods brings Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s fairytale world to the West End. The story follows the Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair and a servant covered in cinders as their paths cross in the woods.
As their journeys unfold, wishes are made, slippers are lost, beanstalks take flight and new friendships are forged, with the story moving beyond the idea of “Happily ever after”. The production is directed by Jordan Fein, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt, and arrives fresh from a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre.
