It follows brilliant student Light Yagami after he finds a notebook with the power over life and death, setting off a battle of wits with the elusive detective L. The manga has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. The production features a score by Tony, Grammy and Emmy nominee Frank Wildhorn, with lyrics by Jack Murphy and a book by Ivan Menchell.
