Since the discovery of the Higgs Boson in 2012, experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN have collected a huge data set of particle collisions at the highest energies available in any accelerator. These collisions give us information about nature in a new energy regime, above the electroweak symmetry-breaking scale, where the weak and electromagnetic forces are in a sense unified. I will discuss what we are learning from these data, and how. The LHC is now turned off, and is undergoing a major upgrade. I will say something about why, and where that might lead us over the next years.
