Speaker: Dr Kaiqing Zhang, CUED
Series: Engineering - Mechanics and Materials Seminar Series

This presentation introduces research in computational mechanics and structural optimization, focusing on two main areas: optical-thermal analysis and optimization of flexible optoelectronic devices for biomedical applications, and topology optimization considering additive manufacturing constraints. The research combines theoretical modeling, analytical solutions, numerical simulations, and computational optimization to improve the thermal safety and mechanical performance of biomedical devices, as well as the manufacturability and structural efficiency of additively manufactured components.
