Speaker: Prof. Anne Christine Davis, DAMTP, University of Cambridge
Series: Cambridge University Astronomical Society (CUAS)

Most of the matter content in the Universe is formed of matter which is invisible to light and ordinary matter, but can be detected gravitationally. Some of this matter we call dark matter matter and some dark energy. I will introduce the observations that have led to us believing the majority of the Universe is dark. I will then discuss potential tests of our theories and how we could use the sun to unveil the mysterious dark Universe.
