Speaker: Jacopo De Nardis (CY Cergy Paris University)
Series: Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series
Note: MMBW03 - Structure of entanglement

I will show how the Sweeping RTM algorithm, a transverse tensor-network contraction method based on reduced transition matrices, can be used to compute probability amplitudes of quantum circuits with controlled relative precision. I will then introduce reduced transition matrices (RTMs) more generally as a framework for contracting temporal tensor networks, highlighting their connections to conformal field theory (CFT) and dynamical quantum phase transitions (DQPTs).
