🎹 CHIAROSCURO The 4th Thailand International Piano Festival Festival Finale Chiaroscuro The 4th Thailand International Piano Festival concludes with Chiaroscuro, a recital by pianist Phu Koanantakool exploring the piano’s extraordinary expressive and orchestral possibilities. Inspired by the artistic concept of chiaroscuro, the interplay of light and shadow, this program brings together works of striking contrasts, technical brilliance, and symphonic ambition. From the monumental architecture of Alkan’s Symphony for Solo Piano to the dazzling virtuosity and orchestral richness of Liszt’s piano concertos, the evening celebrates the piano as an instrument capable of remarkable depth, color, and power. As the final concert of this year’s festival, Chiaroscuro brings the theme “More Than a Piano” to a compelling conclusion, revealing the many dimensions of the instrument through an ambitious program of solo piano repertoire and orchestral reduction. 🎹 FEATURING Phu Koanantakool, Piano Orchestral Reduction: Chonnakarn Sri-Utai 📅 Date: Sunday, December 13, 2026 🕡 Time: 18:30 📍 Venue: Sangita Vadhana Hall, Princess Galyani VadhanaInstitute of Music ------------------- 🎼 PROGRAM Charles-Valentin Alkan Symphony for Solo Piano , Op. 39, Nos. 4–7 IV.
