Barcelona Deep Tech Summit 2026

Europe's deep tech ecosystem meeting inside Smart City Expo World Congress: three days, around 80 speakers, 100 startups and 180 arranged B2B meetings, organised by Biocat at Fira Gran Via.

Three main tracks. Augmented Human on how deep tech is extending human capability across health, robotics and space. Deep Intelligence on the infrastructure, governance and capital behind Europe's intelligence era. Corporate Frontier, new this year as a half-day, on how large European corporations are turning deep tech into actual collaboration. Featured speakers include Dirk Didascalou of Siemens, Cristina Caffarra of the EuroStack Initiative Foundation, Elisenda Bou of Cala.AI and Carlos Garcia-Galan of NASA Programmes. Curated one-to-one matchmaking runs through the BDTS Connection Event, and ITF Spain by imec sits alongside it.

Why go: pre-market deep tech deal flow and the lab-to-market conversation in one place, which Southern Europe otherwise lacks. Best for deep tech founders and spinoffs, investors, and corporate innovation teams.
