Digital in Culture Summit — Preserving the past, designing tomorrow
Downloads an .ics file · Times are in Europe/Rome · Google Calendar
Two days in the Sala Dante at the Istituto Centrale per la Grafica, run by the Italian Ministry of Culture's digitalisation directorate with the Central Institute for the Digitalisation of Cultural Heritage. Eight thematic panels cover digital skills beyond the PNRR funding window, AI applied to heritage, European digital strategies, data management, innovation partnerships and digital preservation infrastructure.
Both days run 09:00 to 18:00, 11 and 12 November. Free, booking required; the registration details are still to be published on the Ministry page. Sessions are also livestreamed on the Ministry's YouTube channel, and attendance may count as training for Ministry staff. Held in Italian; the panel line-up is announced shortly.
Why go: this is where Italian policy on cultural digitisation gets written down, and what comes out of these rooms turns into funding calls. Best for anyone building on cultural data, digitisation pipelines or archives, and for the suppliers who will bid on that work.
