The Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts invites the Howard University community to the launch of its 2026–2027 Faculty Development Series, Cultivating Faculty: Mentorship Across the Academic Journey.

Featuring Dr. Dana A. Williams, Dean of the Graduate School at Howard University, this opening conversation will explore mentorship beyond the traditional one-to-one model, considering the networks of mentors, peers, collaborators, and sponsors who help support professional growth.

The program launches CABCoFA’s yearlong, College-wide faculty mentorship initiative, which will bring faculty together throughout the academic year for sustained conversation, peer exchange, and professional development around research and scholarship, creative practice, teaching, tenure and promotion, academic leadership, and faculty career development.

Monday, October 5, 2026 | 12:00–1:00 p.m.
Recital Hall, College of Fine Arts, Room 300

Open to the wider Howard University community.
